Mrs. Thomson is excited to begin her first year as Assistant Principal at Paradise Elementary and looks forward to another wonderful year serving the students, families, and staff of the Paradise community.
She graduated from Louisiana College in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northwestern State University in 2000.
Mrs. Thomson has dedicated 29 years to Paradise Elementary. She spent 27 years teaching first grade, where she developed a passion for helping young learners build strong academic and social foundations. She then served as the school's Reading Interventionist for two years, providing targeted support to help students strengthen their reading skills and confidence.
As she begins this new leadership role, Mrs.Thomson is committed to supporting teachers, encouraging student success, and fostering strong partnerships with families. She believes that every child deserves a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where they can reach their full potential.
Mrs. Thomson is looking forward to an exciting school year filled with learning, growth, and opportunities to celebrate the many accomplishments of the students and staff at Paradise Elementary.
